Your First Umrah: What to Expect, Hour by Hour

No photograph prepares you for the first sight of the Kaaba. But knowing the practical sequence will let you live that moment fully present.

Before the Flight

Most pilgrims wear ihram at the departure airport or on the plane before crossing the miqat — your group leader will announce the timing. Make your intention and recite the talbiyah.

Arrival & Tawaf

After settling in the hotel, your group walks together to the Haram. Enter with the right foot, lower your gaze, and when the Kaaba appears — pause. Make du'a; it is a moment of acceptance.

Sa'i & Completion

Seven circuits between Safa and Marwah retrace Hajar's search for water. Afterwards, men shave or trim their hair, and the Umrah is complete.

Rest well that night. The days ahead in the Haram are the real treasure of the journey.
