The Complete Umrah Packing Checklist

Packing well is the first act of a peaceful pilgrimage. Here is the checklist we share with every group before departure.

Ihram & Clothing

• Two sets of ihram garments (men) — one to wear, one spare.
• Comfortable, modest clothing for Madinah and travel days.
• Broken-in walking sandals plus a lightweight bag for shoes inside the Haram.

Health & Comfort

• Unscented soap and moisturizer (scent-free is required in ihram).
• Any regular medication in original packaging, with a copy of your prescription.
• A small umbrella and a refillable water bottle.

Documents

• Passport (valid 6+ months), visa printout and hotel confirmations.
• Photocopies stored separately from originals, plus digital scans on your phone.

Keep your bag light: anything you forget can be bought in Makkah, usually within a few minutes' walk of your hotel.
